CHOCOLATE FANTASIES

Chocolate, nuts and caramel, wonderful combination of flavors in each yummy bite . . . a delicious fantasy for sure!

1 tub CHOCOLATE CHARLIES Mix
2 eggs
1 1/2 sticks butter
1-2 Tablespoons water

1 ¾ cup chopped pecans
2 egg whites, slightly beaten

1 package caramels
1/3 cup whipping cream

1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
2 Tablespoons shortening

Blend the cookie mix with the eggs butter and water. Mix thoroughly and chill for an hour. Using a heaping teaspoon of dough, form into dough balls.

Roll cookie balls first into egg whites and then into pecans. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets about 1 ½ inches apart. Make an indentation with your thumb into the center of each cookie ball. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes.

Melt the caramels in a sauce pan slowly, blending in the whipping cream. Put a small dollop of caramel into the indentations of the baked, but still warm cookies. Cool completely.

Microwave the semisweet chocolate chips in microwave, stirring in shortening until mixture is smooth. This can also be done in a small saucepan.
String lightly over cookies.
